Changes to AADC Protocol
Veterinary medicine is deemed an “essential service” in the state of Texas, thus at this time we are able to remain open to care for your four-legged family members. To help protect the health of all, we have mindfully and carefully implemented changes to our standard operating procedures per guidelines from the CDC, WHO, American Veterinary Medical Association, and other authorities. We will continue to provide your pet the same excellent medical care as always, only without you accompanying them into the clinic.
Upon arrival for your appointment, please call us at 512-477-4824 from your car. A technician will come to your vehicle to collect your pet and escort them into the building. You may wait in our parking lot, take a walk by the lake, or go home and return within an hour.
Access inside the clinic is restricted to AADC team members only. We will consult with you by phone during your pet’s appointment and you will receive Dr. Nichols’ usual detailed multi-page Medical Report.
If you or anyone in your household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms of the disease, please inform us in advance so we may take even further precautions with you and your pet. Fortunately, scientists have found no evidence that pets are at risk for contracting or transmitting COVID-19.
If you need a medication or other product, please call ahead to arrange pick up. Payment will be handled via phone and your item(s) will be placed on our back porch at the agreed upon time and will be clearly labeled with your pet’s name. You will be unable to enter the building as our doors are locked, so please do not stop by without making your request in advance.
We are making these changes for the safety of you, your family, and the AADC team. In doing so, we can stay open for business in order to serve you, our beloved pet owners.
With gratitude, Dr. Patrick Nichols, Jennifer Nichols, their family, and the AADC Team
